I love variety and change. Sometimes too much I think. Looking back over the last decade of my life, I can clearly see that I am not ready to settle down in one spot and do the same thing day in and day out. I have been to several countries, dozens of U.S. states, and I’m not going to even try and count the cities. I’ve been to ocean depths and cloud-covered mountain tops. I’ve even racked up over 10 different jobs and a few more places of residence.
To get to the point, I crave new experiences, places, people and cultures which is at the heart of travel. New experiences help shape who we are so if you think about it, traveling is a way to find yourself and create yourself. I recently read an article from Lonely Planet that posed the question: which travel destination has changed your life the most? Not only did it give me some great ideas of where to travel to, but it also made me think about where I’ve been… hence my newest ramble of a post.
But I am curious… for all of you that I know and that follow me, can YOU name the top place/destination that has had the most significant impact on your life? I’d love to hear about it. Once I get a few comments, I’ll post my story as well!
